Imran Oladapo Shita-Bey was elected on 26th may, 2018 and sworn in as National President of GCLOBA on 1st July, 2018.

Imran holds an LLB (Hons) Law degree from the University of Warwick, Coventry and was called to the Nigerian Bar as a Barrister and Solicitor in June, 1991. Imran wears multiple caps, including that of a Legal-Techpreneur, a Volunteer and Public Interest Advocate.

Head of Chambers and Principal at S.A. Shitta-Bey & Co (a mainly Litigation and Dispute Resolution practice of over 46 years existence) his areas of core competence include Public Law (includes Judicial Review of Administrative Action), Employment Law, Personal Injury (includes medical negligence and malpractice, medical product liability), Consumer Protection and Property Litigation.

On the Commercial side, Imran advises on Residential and Commercial Leases, Construction and Real Estate Developments, Law of Contract Modification, Spatial Planning and Regeneration.

Legal-Techpreneur

As a Legal-Techpreneur, Imran Founded of a number of online start-ups including LegalPractitioner.me , a Social and Professional Network for Lawyers.

Volunteering

Aside involvement with GCLOBA, Imran has served multiple associations home and abroad in voluntary capacities, including as Founder of ‘Ask a Lawyer Legal Roundtable Forum’, a group of Lawyers who encourage the sharing of knowledge with the ultimate goal of driving professional development towards excellence in Legal practice.
